What is the Nury Ransomware?
Nury ransomware is a new piece of file-encrypting malware that belongs to the Djvu family of clones.
Once deployed on a system, Nury will encrypt almost every file, including media file types, documents, archives, executable files and databases.
When a file gets encrypted by Nury, it receives the ".nury" extension past its original one. This process will make a file called "game.exe" turn into "game.exe.nury".
The Nury ransomware deposits its ransom note inside a plain text file called "_readme.txt" and the note follows the template used by all Djvu clones. The full note goes as follows:
