Remove MinePass
MinePass is an adware add-on for Web browsers. It seems to mostly affect users of Google Chrome, but it is possible that users of other Web browsers might encounter it too. It is important to add that you are unable to download MinePass from the official library of Google Chrome extensions. The misleading app is being spread through 3rd-party downloads, software bundles, and fake applications. Thankfully, adware like this is not dangerous.
Users who install MinePass may be prompted to give the add-on permission to manage the data on opened websites. This is all that this adware needs to gain the ability to modify the code of websites, and inject its own ads, pop-ups, and overlays on top of their content. Such adware tends to be very intrusive, and it may obstruct certain sections of your favorite websites, making it difficult to browse them.
If you notice the MinePass in your list of installed Chrome extensions, then you should certainly proceed to remove it. However, keep in mind that this might not get rid of it fully. We recommend running an up-to-date Windows security tool to ensure that all adware components are eliminated.
