How to Stop EfficientRecord Adware Pop-Ups

EfficientRecord is the name of a piece of potentially unwanted software that exhibits behavior typical for adware. It can appear on Mac computers.

EfficientRecord does not bring any useful features or functionality to your Mac. The app has a generic icon with a grey circle and a looking glass symbol in it - a look shared by dozens of its sibling apps that all share the same characteristics. The naming convention followed by those apps is also very similar - they all have names that consist of two randomly chosen words that often produce meaningless combinations.

EfficientRecord acts like most adware does - it displays intrusive ads and pop-ups on your Mac. The issue with those ads isn't so much the presence of the ads themselves but rather what they link to.
