Remove DefaultFabricOptic
DefaultFabricOptic is a misleading application that may end up installed on macOS devices. It does not appear to be compatible with Windows, so you have nothing to worry about if you are a user of the most popular operating system. Mac users, on the other hand, may experience some issues if they end up with DefaultFabricOptic on their device. This software is designed to work in the background, and silently manipulate Web browser settings. While none of its activities are malicious, it may reduce the quality of your Web browsing sessions, and redirect you to content that you are not interested in.
DefaultFabricOptic appears to replace the default search engine and new tab page of websites with a 3rd-party search service. The latter is typically an unreliable site, which may display low-quality search results. Furthermore, its searches may return tons of ads and sponsored results, which certainly diminish the service's quality. We consider DefaultFabricOptic to be a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) and recommend removing it. Keep in mind that manual removal might not be enough to deal with the issue, and you should consider using a reputable security tool for Mac to help you deal with this intruder.
