What is Adww Ransomware?

Adww is yet another ransomware clone based on Djvu code and using the Djvu ransomware infrastructure.

Adww will encrypt almost every file on the targeted system, leaving Windows-essential files untouched. Encrypted files will include documents, media files, archives and databases.

Once encrypted, files receive the ".adww" extension, which is also the name of the new variant. This will make a file called "document.doc" turn into "document.doc.adww" upon encryption.

When the encryption process is complete, Adww reposits its ransom note inside a plain text file called "_readme.txt". The note template is the one shared by all Djvu variants and goes as follows:
