What is Adoq Ransomware?

Adoq ransomware is the name of yet another newly discovered Djvu ransomware clone.

The new Djvu variant does nothing unusual or unexpected. It will encrypt the victim system, leaving files scrambled. Once encrypted, files receive the ".adoq" extension, hence the ransomware's name. This process will turn a file called "image.jpg" into "image.jpg.adoq" upon encryption.

File types affected by the encryption will include documents, media files, archives and databases.

The ransomware deposits its ransom demands inside a file named "_readme.txt". The ransom note uses the exact same layout and ransom amount as every other Djvu clone and goes as follows:
