Powd Ransomware è un nuovo membro della famiglia Djvu

Powd è il nome di una variante di ransomware scoperta di recente che appartiene alla famiglia di cloni di ransomware Djvu.

La nuova variante crittograferà il sistema vittima e cripterà quasi tutti i file sulle sue unità. I file crittografati includeranno file multimediali, documenti, archivi e database, nonché eseguibili.

I file crittografati ricevono l'estensione ".powd". Questo trasformerà un file chiamato "document.txt" in "document.txt.powd" una volta crittografato.

Le richieste di riscatto vengono inserite in un file di testo semplice chiamato "_readme.txt" e il file segue il modello Djvu universale. La richiesta di riscatto per intero è la seguente:
