How to Uninstall AdGuard
AdGuard is both an standalone application and a browser extension, available both for Microsoft Windows and MacOS. The standalone app is available as a download from the developer's website and the Safari and Chrome browser extensions are available on the App Store and Google Play Store respectively.
The premise of AdGuard is that it blocks unwanted advertisements on websites, limits bandwidth usage and enhances privacy and protection when browsing. The software has additional features as well, including parental controls for providing a safer browsing environment for children.
There are a number of browser extensions and similar applications on the market. If you have found another one that better suits your needs or includes specific functionality you need, you might be thinking of uninstalling AdGuard. If this is the case, this article will give you a brief guide on how to uninstall the application on both Windows and Mac.
If you are uninstalling AdGuard from a Windows 10 PC, do the following:

Open your start menu, then slick the Settings icon shaped like a gear.

In the settings window that comes up, find and click on Apps.

In the list of installed apps that appears, find and click on AdGuard.

Click the Uninstall button that shows up next to the AdGuard entry in the list of apps.

Follow the onscreen instructions of the uninstaller to complete the process.
If you are uninstalling AdGuard from a Mac computer, do the following:

Open your Applications folder, either through Finder or by using the dock shortcut icon.

Find AdGuard in the Applications window, then drag and drop it onto your Trash.

From Finder's menu bar, click Go > Go to Folder. Type ~/Library in the box and click Go.

Go through the following folders manually and find and delete all files that have 'adguard' in their names:
~/Library/Application Scripts ~/Library/Containers ~/Library/Group Containers

Empty your Trash to complete the uninstallation.
If you installed the application and the Safari plugin included in it, trying to uninstall just the browser extension from inside the browser will not work. You will need to uninstall the entire AdGuard app using the steps above to completely uninstall the Safari extension as well.
