How to Enable Dark Mode on Mac
Many computer users prefer to use the 'dark mode' of applications whenever it is available. If you are a Mac user, then you will be glad to hear that dark mode for the entire operating system is available ever since macOS Mojave was released. Dark mode is an excellent choice if you are a night owl, because it can significantly reduce eyestrain. Here is how to enable it on your Mac, as long as you are using macOS 10.14 or above:
- Open the Apple Menu and head to System Preferences -> General
- Select the Appearance tab, and then enable Dark Mode.
- Do not hesitate to explore the Appearance tab to further enhance your viewing experience by configuring accent and button colors, as well as other element styles.
There are some posts online saying that using the dark mode of your Mac may increase memory usage and, therefore, reduce battery life. However, this is highly unlikely to be in result of dark mode, and you should not hesitate to use this option if you find it more appealing.
