How to Avoid Jonne.club Pop-Ups
Jonne dot club is yet another misleading website that dangles an expensive gift in front of its visitors to lure them into accepting ad pop-ups.
Landing on Jonne dot club, you'll be greeted with a stock image of a smiling girl and an image of an expensive mobile phone. The site goes for the tried and true "You won a new iPhone" scam. Of course, there is nothing to be won here. The page was set up solely to push ads in your browser.
The page will tell you that in order to claim your iPhone, you need to click "allow". Of course, doing this will simply give permission to Jonne dot club to spam your browser with ads.
The issue with this behavior is not just the fake bait. The ads delivered by similar misleading pages are often sourced through rogue ad networks. This means that those ads and pop-ups can lead to more misleading websites, scam and phishing pages, questionable content, or potentially unwanted program installers.
