Brother MFC-L2700DW Printer Driver Issues
If you are using a Brother MFC-L2700DW printer and all components seem to be in order, from your toner ink to your paper, and you have already checked all cable connections, but your printer would simply not print, you may be looking at a driver issue.
Thankfully, like most driver-related problems on modern-day Windows machines, this problem is quite easy to solve.
First of all, what you need to do is find the driver online, if you do not keep any install disks you received with your Brother printer.
If you simply feed the "Brother MFC-L2700DW driver" search query in Google, the first match you get will be the support section of Brother's support website. Once you follow the link, you will be presented with a number of radio button options.
Make sure the first dot is under "Windows", then make sure the second section has the dot exactly next to the version of Windows you are running. The most important thing you need to look out for is that the operating system type corresponds to the one on your system. A 64-bit driver will generally not work on a 32-bit Windows install, so you may want to pay attention that you have selected the right one, even if you are sure about the OS version number.
You will be given a choice between downloading just the driver installer or the complete software package, with the latter option recommended by Brother.
Once the driver package has been downloaded, simply double-click it and follow the steps of the install wizard, until setup has finished successfully with no error messages.
As a rule of thumb, on modern versions of Windows, you don't have to uninstall the existing driver first, even if it may be acting up. Simply installing a fresh driver package on top of the existing driver will resolve the vast majority of driver-related issues with any hardware, whether this is your printer or your GPU.
