Remove WireNavigate
WireNavigate is a Mac program, which could show up on your system out of nowhere. Thankfully, it is neither malware nor dangerous. However, this does not meant that it is useful and handy. In fact, we consider WireNavigate to be a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that could cause all sorts of annoying issues with your system. The goal of WireNavigate's creators is to install it on as many systems as possible since the app's purpose is to hijack Web browser settings.
It seems that WireNavigate is programmed to promote 3rd-party search services by configuring them as the default new tab page and search engine of browsers. One of the sites that WireNavigate promotes is Nearbyme.io, but it is possible that other low-quality search engines might be promoted too.
The WireNavigate is being spread via fake downloads, misleading ads, and other dodgy content. Some Mac users end up accidentally installing it because of pirated downloads. To make sure that you will never deal with intrusive apps like WireNavigate on your Mac, you should consider installing and activating a 3rd-party reputable anti-malware service. If WireNavigate is present on your device, you need to remove it in order to restore your browser configuration. To do this, run an up-to-date Mac security scanner.
