Remove ViewsAdjustable from Mac
Mac systems were considered to be incredibly safe from malware and all sorts of intrusive apps – such as Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs) or browser hijackers. While this was true to some extent, it is no longer true today. There are many cybercriminals and PUP developers who are actively targeting Mac users. They have the necessary expertise to be able to circumvent Mac's built-in security features, so you cannot rely on default defenses any longer. One of these apps is ViewsAdjustable.
Let's start off by saying that ViewsAdjustable is not dangerous. It cannot cause any massive issues and, in fact, its sole purpose is to make minor changes to your browser settings. It appears to affect Safari and other popular Web browsers. ViewsAdjustable replaces their default search service and new tab page with Nearbyme.io or another low-quality search engine. The purpose of this change is to drive more traffic to the aforementioned site(s) and also to enhance the ad revenue they generate.
As you can see, the goal of ViewsAdjustable's creators is to artificially pump the statistics of their sites, and to get more ad revenue. All this happens at the expense of your Web browsing experience. If you find ViewsAdjustable on your Mac, you should remove it immediately with the use of an up-to-date Mac security tool.
