Remove Search-Guard

Search-Guard is a misleading browser add-on, which promises to enhance the user's security while they are online or trying to search the Web. Supposedly, Search-Guard filters harmful search results to prevent users from encountering dangerous sites. In reality, however, the sole goal of Search-Guard is to promote the search service located at Search-guard.xyz. This search engine is not reputable, and you can rest assured that it will not help you browse the Web in a safer manner.

If you are worried about harmful search results, you should know that major search services like Google already take measures to remove potentially dangerous sites from the results pages. In this manner, Search-Guard has no advantages. Furthermore, Search-Guard may deliver low-quality search results, since it is likely to rely on untested and non-reputable search algorithms.
