Powz is the name of yet another newly discovered Djvu ransomware clone.

The new variant will encrypt files on the targeted system and do just what every other Djvu clone does - rename files and add its name as the new extension. Encrypted files include executables, archive files, documents and databases. The encryption process will turn a file called "image.png" into "image.png.powz" upon successful encryption.
