PowerAnalytics Adware Affects Macs

PowerAnalytics is the name of a potentially unwanted application that can appear on your Mac computer. PowerAnalytics is classified as adware, also known as ad-supported software.

PowerAnalytics is a member of the AdLoad family of adware clones and brings nothing helpful or useful to your experience as a user. Apps like PowerAnalytics exist only to deliver ads to your browser. PowerAnalytics is one of hundreds of similar clone applications. All AdLoad variants use the same icon and naming convention - two random words put together, fingers crossed that the outcome is not something absurd.

The issue with adware like PowerAnalytics and its clone brethren is that a lot of the time the ads delivered through the adware app will be sourced from rogue advertising networks. This means the rogue ads may link to potentially unwanted apps, questionable content, misleading websites and scam or phishing pages.

As a general rule of thumb, you don't want to keep any adware app on your Mac, not PowerAnalytics, or any other one. Luckily, removing apps similar to PowerAnalytics is easy - just drag the application icon onto the Trash and then empty your Trash.
