Remove OnlineDisplay
OnlineDisplay is an intrusive application that only runs on Mac systems. There is no Windows version of it, so Mac users are the only ones that have to worry about it. Keep in mind that OnlineDisplay is not a malicious app, and it is not something you should consider to be a threat to your system. It is, however, an intrusive program, which could become the cause of undesired changes to your Web browser and system behavior.
The purpose of OnlineDisplay is to promote 3rd-party websites by configuring them as the default new tab page and search engine of Web browsers. Due to the changes it brings, OnlineDisplay could prevent you from navigating the Web like you are used to. The search sites it promotes are unreliable, and they may often provide search results of the lowest quality. Furthermore, sites affiliated with OnlineDisplay seems to often host a large number of advertisements and other sponsored content.
We consider OnlineDisplay to be a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) and strongly recommend its removal. Keep in mind that it might be a major challenge to get rid of it manually, and we would not advise you to attempt this. Even if you try to uninstall OnlineDisplay the old-fashioned way, not all of its files will be removed. The best way to ensure that OnlineDisplay and its changes will never bother you again is to run an up-to-date security scanner for Mac.
