Bulwark Ransomware is a New MedusaLocker Variant

Bulwark ransomware is the name of a new clone of the MedusaLocker ransomware family that was spotted in the wild in October 2022.

The Bulwark ransomware sticks to the pattern that is typical for Medusa clones. It will encrypt most files on the system, including executables, documents, archives and media files. Encrypted files receive the ".bulwark7" extension.

Once Bulwark finishes encrypting the victim system, the ransomware produces its ransom note inside a file called "!-Recovery_Instructions-!.html" and places it on the system desktop.
