How to Avoid Asxerk.click Ads
Asxerk dot click is a misleading website with a randomly generated domain name that only seeks to push ads into your browser.
Similar sites are a dime a dozen, with hundreds and hundreds of domain names registered and then used to host the same misleading nonsense. In the case of Asxerk dot click, the content of the site puts it in the "fake virus warnings" subcategory of misleading pages.
This sort of site will have images on it, made to look like the windows of an antivirus application. Of course, it's just an online page and not a real antivirus app. It's all smoke and mirrors to scare the user into thinking something is very wrong with their computer.
The goal is usually to get the confused and frightened user to click "allow" and permit push notifications from the misleading page. Misleading sites of this kind would commonly work together with rogue ad networks and deliver ads that may link to unsafe locations, including scam and phishing pages, questionable adult content and other untrustworthy websites.
Next time you see a website telling you that you have 5 viruses on your system, simply close the browser tab and know that the messages was fake.
