How to Uninstall WhatsApp

WhatsApp is a hugely popular application that has over 2 billion active users around the world. The immensely popular mobile messenger made its way to desktop computers as well, with two versions for Mac and Windows that were released in 2016.

The WhatsApp application and brand name are owned by Facebook. WhatsApp was originally founded back in 2009 and Facebook acquired the messenger in 2014 for the considerable sum of $19 billion.

If you are thinking about switching from WhatsApp to another messaging application on your computer or simply don't need the software anymore, this guide will give you a few brief instructions on how to uninstall WhatsApp from your computer, regardless of your operating system and platform.

If you are uninstalling WhatsApp from a Windows computer, do the following:

   Open your start menu and click the Settings icon that is shaped like a gear.

2. In the system settings window, click on Apps.

3. In the list of installed applications scroll until you find WhatsApp and click it.
