EfficiencyInternet Mac Adware Pushes Pop-Ups

EfficiencyInternet is one of the hundreds of clones of the AdLoad adware that affects Mac computers.

The application has a generic icon and a randomly generated name using two words mashed together. In the case of EfficiencyInternet, the word combination almost makes sense, unlike other clones of the same adware family.

There is nothing useful that AdLoad or its clones can ever bring to your workflow or system. The only things that those apps will certainly bring are ads and pop-ups. The issue with this is that adware often works with rogue ad networks. Those networks may push ads that link to misleading pages, potentially unwanted applications and scams or phishing pages, as well as questionable adult content.

The simplest solution to this issue is to simply uninstall adware from your Mac, whether it is EfficiencyInternet or another ad-supported application. You simply need to drag the app from your Applications folder onto the Trash, then clean your Trash.
