Rewardusacenter.com Promises Expensive Devices to Harvest Emails

Rewardusacenter dot com is a misleading page that combines elements of both misleading websites and data harvesting scams.

Landing on the page, you will see a poorly thrown-together collage of a Playstation and an Xbox console. The page presents a fake offer to win a gaming console "on a prepaid Visa card".

Of course, this is a scam. There is no console to be won here. In order to "participate", visitors are expected to enter their email in a form field. This will only hand your address over to the party operating the website. Then it can be re-sold to advertisers and spammers.

On top of this, the website brings up the browser's "allow notifications" box. Clicking "allow" here will allow the page at Rewardusacenter dot com to spam your browser with ads that are intrusive and may be dangerous, potentially linking to scams, misleading pages and questionable content.

Just remember that there is no free lunch and don't give away your personal information to random websites.
