S-400 RAT Rented Out on Hacking Forums
Remote Access Trojans (RATs) are exceptionally dangerous piece of malware, which could cause massive trouble for infected victims. The S-400 RAT is one of the latest malware pieces of this type and, unfortunately, it has the potential to become a widely spread implant. Its creators are promoting it via public hacking forums, videos on YouTube, and all sorts of other content. While the malware is paid, criminals might also be able to find cracked version – enabling anyone to use malware.
The S-400 RAT has a long list of features, which allow the operator to spy on victims, launch more malware, steal files, and much more. In addition to this, it has an auto-spreading set of features, which allow it to infect USB drives, executable files, and many other types of files.
Just like other RATs, this one also works in the background to attempt to stay undetected. Victims might be unaware that there is something shady going on while the attacker is spying on them in the background. While the S-400 RAT does not boast an infostealer module, it does have a keylogger. This would allow the criminals to easily obtain username, passwords, and other sensitive information.
Publicly available threats like the S-400 RAT may reach victims all over the world. The best way to stay safe from such attacks is to use an up-to-date security tool for Windows at all times.
