Botnet Blacklist is a Suspicious Warning Message

Botnet Blacklist, or more specifically Botnet:Blacklist is a detection designation given by an anti-malware application to connections it considers suspicious.

This designation and the handle "Botnet:Blacklist" is specific to a single anti-malware application. It is used by the software to warn about and block connections to locations online that the software considers suspicious.

The warning message seems to be triggered by a component of a crypto platform application that is trying to make connections that the anti-virus software considers unsafe and blocks by default.

Suggested solutions to getting rid of this warning include the standard system reboot, as well as resetting the system browser to its default configuration and disabling browser extensions one by one, to check if the message persists.

The web protection component of anti-malware applications is intended to filter out known malicious or bad addresses and URLs online so that if the system attempts to connect to one of them, it is automatically stopped in its tracks before it can make the connection.
