„Roblox Ransomware“ verčia aukas įdiegti populiarų žaidimą „Gunpoint“.

2022 m. spalio pabaigoje laukinėje gamtoje buvo pastebėta nauja ir labai neįprasta išpirkos reikalaujančios programos.

Roblox užšifruos aukų sistemą ir paliks failus nepasiekiamus. Užšifruoti failai gauna plėtinį „.Encrypted_Roblox@mail.com“, pridedamą po pirminio.

Skirtingai nuo daugelio išpirkos reikalaujančių programų variantų, Roblox negeneruoja tekstinio failo su išpirkos užrašu darbalaukyje ar kiekviename aplanke. Roblox atveju aukos tiesiog gauna iššokantįjį langą, kuriame nurodoma, kad jie gali atkurti failus, jei įdiegs ir atidarys arba paleis Roblox žaidimų platformą. Visas tekstas iššokančiame lange yra toks:
