新しい悪意のあるファイルサンプルの検査中に特定された Gycc ランサムウェアは、Djvu マルウェアファミリにリンクされています。この特定のランサムウェアの亜種は、ファイルを暗号化し、ファイル名に「.gycc」拡張子を追加し、身代金メモ (「_readme.txt」) を添付することによって動作します。

ファイル名を変更する動作を強調すると、Gycc は「1.jpg」を「1.jpg.gycc」に、「2.png」を「2.png.gycc」に変更します。 Djvu ファミリとの関連性を考えると、Gycc はサイバー犯罪者によって Vidar や RedLine などの情報窃取者と一緒に配布される可能性がかなりあります。
