A Bozq ransomware a Djvu ransomware család új változata.

A Bozq titkosítja a rendszert, és szinte minden fájlt kódol rajta. A titkosított fájlok a ".bozq" kiterjesztést kapják az eredeti kiterjesztés után. A titkosítási folyamat a „program.exe” nevű fájlt „program.exe.bozq”-vé alakítja.

A titkosítási folyamat minden média-, dokumentum-, archív- és adatbázisfájlt, valamint a program végrehajtható fájlját érinti.
